The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) is saddled with the responsibility of tackling the negative health and environmental impacts associated with poor handling and management of E-waste in Lagos State. The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) and the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) funded the project, in collaboration with Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) and E-waste Producer Responsibility of Nigeria (EPRON) hereby bring together players in the electronic value chain (from government, the private sector, and civil society) to kick start a financially self-sustaining circular economy approach for electronic waste in Nigeria. The project is targeted at transforming the challenges of increasing the production of electronic wastes into an opportunity.
