This is the legal arm of the Agency, the unit offers Advisory Legal Services, interpretation asset enabling law whenever the need arises. The Unit drafts Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and other forms of agreement on behalf of the agency.
Functions
The Legal Unit performs the following functions among others;
1. Provides mediation and arbitration services whenever the need arises.
2. Interprets and ensure strict compliance with the law all other related environmental law by the State;
3. Provides advisory Services to all the departments and units in the Agency as the need arises.
4. Drafts/facilitates the preparation of Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency and other parties.
5. Advise the Agency during Partnership Programs with private or non-governmental organizations; and
6. Diligent prosecution of court cases around the agency
