Zonal Office Directorate

In fulfillment of the Lagos State Government’s commitment to ensuring a sustainable environment and engendering sound environmental practices in the state, the agency increased its zonal offices from four (4) to twenty (20). These will help the agency to expand its accessibility, improve its response time, sensitize members of the public about its activities and effectively serve a larger number of people seeking LASEPA’s intervention in different parts of the state.

1. The new zonal offices are Apapa 1&2, Amuwo-Odofin 1&2, Surulere, Lagos Mainland, Lekki, Epe, Alimosho 1, 2&3, Ikorodu I &2, Orile-Iganmu , Badagry, Isolo, Ojo, and Agege.

3. The agency is working alongside the state government to attain its target by creating the 20 zonal offices, with the aim of serving the residents better and deepening safe environmental practices across the state.

5. To mention but a few, the Orile-Iganmu Zonal Office is located at 12, AlhajiWasiuOgunlana Street, off Ago Palace Way, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos.

The Zonal Office serving Alimosho I and II is located at 277, Egbeda–Idimu Road, Pipeline bus stop, opposite Area M Police Command.

Also, the Isolo Zonal Office is located in Isolo Local Government secretariat, Osolo way, Isolo.

Badagry Zonal Office is located at Public Works yard, along General Hospital Road, Badagry.

Agege Zonal Office is located in the Abattoir Complex, Oko Oba, Agege. The office is, among other functions, saddled with the responsibility of facilitating prompt and effective response to complaints on environmental infractions in and around the complex, in line with the vision and mission of the agency.

The Zonal Office covering Ikorodu I and II is located at 1, Odogunyan Industrial Estate, Opposite Lami Gas, off Falcon Gas, Odogunyan, Ikorodu.

The Zonal Office covering Lekki and Epeis located at Block B, House 19b, Alani Akinrinade Street, Abraham Adesanya Estate, Lagos.

Similarly, the Zonal Office covering Lagos Mainland and Surulere have their office(s) location site in view, but temporarily operates from the agency’s Headquarters, Governor’s Road, Alausa, Ikeja.

Across the zonal offices, there are workstations for the staff to carry out their administrative duties. Like the existing ones, the new zonal offices will uphold the mandate of the agency and among other functions:

1. Facilitate prompt control of environmental and other forms of pollution, resulting from industrial, domestic and commercial activities in their respective areas.

2. Maintain an eco-friendly environment with zero tolerance for recalcitrant polluters

3. Also promote peaceful co-existence amongst the people during public complaint advocacy.

1. 4. Ensure that all forms of pollution in their coverage areas are reduced, so the environment could be livable and conducive for the teeming inhabitants of the state, through monitoring, advocacy and investigation of complaints.

5. Remain committed to giving succor to citizens negatively affected by all forms of pollution.
