The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, has sealed Farmcity, Quilox Pool and Bar, as well as two other facilities in the Ajah area of the State for contravening different sections of the State Environmental Law and the directives of the State Government on Covid-19 prevention.
The General Manager LASEPA, Dr. Dolapo Fasawe who made this known in a statement explained that during the exercise, which was carried out in the late hours of Saturday and early hours of Sunday along Lekki-Ajah axis, two other entertainment and restaurant outlets, namely Page One in Ajah and Bien Mange in Abraham Adesanya Estate were also sealed.
Dr Fasawe noted that the operation which was aimed at identifying environmental violations across the various facilities visited, was in line with the Environmental Management and Protection Law of 2017.
She said LASEPA could not afford to ignore the level of non-compliance to COVID-19 protocols in all the sealed facilities and reminded all residents of the State that the relaxation of the lockdown does not authorise anyone to engage in activities that would accelerate the spread of COVID-19.
Dr Fasawe reiterated the Agency’s committment to enforcing the highest levels of compliance with physical distancing laws and all directives of the State Governor.
